Victoria Combalía, a prominent art critic in Spain, has been very passionate about Dora Maar, her work, and her life story. She had the chance to speak with Dora Maar on telephone calls on several occasions before the artist passed away.

DADA STUDIOS is a gallery based in Barcelona, founded by Adrian Agudo and Marc Esteller, who bought back in time twenty drawings of Dora Maar that are rarely known.

Showing the drawings in Ocaña and conceptualizing the project with the deep knowledge of Victoria Combalía about Dora Maar was a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We organized an exhibition with those twenty drawings, and we set up a special installation to show the pieces that took place along the staircase of the venue. The show was launched by a conference about Dora Maar led by Victoria Combalía and accompanied by a sale of her book, Dora Maar, Más allá de Picasso.
